The five checks
Still online. We saw it on the source in the last 3 days. Older ones lose the badge, and a listing we haven't seen recently is re-checked right before we send it to you.
Real photos. It has photos of the home. No photos, no badge.
Realistic price. We compare it with similar homes in the same district. Far below the usual (under 60%) is a classic bait: no badge, and the listing page says so.
Original text. On sites where anyone can post, the same text published for homes in several districts is a known fake pattern. Those listings are removed.
No scam signs. We scan the description for money before a viewing, no viewing possible, odd payment methods, pressure and ID up front. The serious ones remove the listing.

Except on booking platforms (Spotahome, HousingAnywhere, Uniplaces, Spacest), where you book and pay inside the platform and are protected by it.
No viewing, keys by post
The owner is “abroad” and sends the keys after you pay.
Odd payment methods
Western Union, crypto, gift cards, transfers abroad.
Copied listings
The same text for homes in different districts.
Wrong product
Holiday lets, homes for sale, parking spaces and offices, homes outside Barcelona.
Questions
Does the badge mean the listing is 100% real?
No. It means it passed every check we can run. It's a check, not a guarantee: never pay before a viewing and a signed contract.
Why doesn't a listing have the badge?
One check didn't pass or couldn't be done, for example no photos or a price far below the area. The listing page shows exactly which one.
Do you remove cheap listings?
No. A low price alone is often a real bargain, so it only removes the badge. We remove a listing for the signs above, not for its price.
